Community Engagement/Mission

Our church serves a free Community Pancake Breakfast every Sunday from 8:00a - 9:00p. The breakfast consists of pancakes, sausage, eggs, cereal, fruit, and beverages. The meal is open to everyone and is served in our church gym.

We typically serve between 80-100 meals each week.

The breakfast is prepared and served entirely by church volunteers, and we could always use an extra hand.

Please contact Ellen Trovato, our Pancake Breakfast director, for more information (

Our Church Garden is now in its second year. The garden is located on the grounds of the church - in lieu of landscaping, we have a garden! The garden is managed by our Garden Team and we always need volunteers to manage and take care of the garden.

All produce grown is donated to the Community Kitchen and local Food Pantries. Last year we donated nearly 500 lbs of fresh produce to local hunger organizations!

We also regularly partner with the Pantry Plus More to provide space for their food distributions.

The last Sunday of each month is 'Red Wagon Sunday,' where you are encouraged to bring food donations to church. Our children collect the donations and a volunteer delivers them to various pantries the following day.

Our church helps keep the shelves stocked at many local food pantries. Each month we collect and deliver canned good and fresh produce to our three main food pantry partners:

Rock Forge Food Pantry

Canyon Food Pantry

St. Ursula Food Pantry

Our newest Mission partner, the HAPI Project (Helping Appalachian Parents and Infants) primarily serves young mothers with some level of economic insecurity. By providing basic supplies to help the mothers take care of themselves, HAPI ensures healthier families and better equips families to care for their children. We are currently running a donation drive for HAPI - you can bring items to the church and drop them off in the HAPI-labeled basket in the church entryway, or ship to them directly from their Amazon wishlist:

Our church has an LGBTQ+ Task Force that organizations and leads LGBTQ+ inclusion ministry in our church.  The Task Force is made up of church members, LGBTQ+ persons and allies, and community friends. We regularly organize events, social media campaigns, and involvement in LGBTQ+ community events.

Our LGBTQ+ Community Partners include:

The Greater Morgantown Interfaith Association connects our faith communities across faith traditions. We regularly host events with GMIA and our minister currently serves as lead organizer.

We partner with APBP to host book drives and book wrapping parties, providing incarcerated people with reading and learning materials to which they would not otherwise have access.

Stay tuned for our next book wrapping party this Fall!
