Adult Sunday School is continuing their study of Diana Butler Bass's book, Broken We Kneel, through March 22. All are welcome to attend. Bass asks questions related to Christian identity about patriotism and citizenship and how they relate to congregational life. She reminds us that our Christian identity, at times, isn't compatible with national politics. Books are available from Margaret Bolt for $10.00. For any questions, contact John Bolt or George Lilley.
Book Giveaway Table: The “weeding” of the church library is complete, and we have a number of books available for you to take to your home libraries. Books are located in the Forest Street entrance. Additional books will be added for next week. Please help yourself! The library selection policy has been updated as well. We will now be accepting only books in good condition printed after 2000 or books on topics we do not already have.

Food for Habitat for Humanity College Week: Help Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity! Out-of-state college students will spend their Spring Break in Morgantown working on Habitat for Humanity houses. Our church has been invited to provide a meal for them. The Mission Committee has created a menu and ask for your help. Free Mom Hugs: FPC’s Progressive Moms Group is organizing a “Free Mom Hugs” event for the Morgantown Pride Block Party on April 18. If you are a mom (or grandma) who would like to give Free Mom Hugs to LGBTQ+ individuals to show them they are loved and accepted unconditionally, please email Jamie Perdue at email@example.com to volunteer. We, the people of First Presbyterian Church, are a welcoming congregation practicing the hospitality of Jesus by greeting, welcoming, and embracing visitors and guests. In addition to extending hospitality, we gladly assist visitors by helping them find their way through the building. If you’re unsure of where something is, just ask! We happily and consistently endeavor to reflect Christ’s love to visitors, guests, neighbors, and each other.
Attention Parents: We have a kids’ space in the back of the sanctuary with sensory and quiet activities to give children an outlet during worship. Don’t worry if a little noise comes from one of our little worshippers - we are grateful to have all ages in worship with us! We also have a nursery on the lower level for infants through age 5. Please feel free to take your children to meet our nursery attendants, Janine and Teanna, if you wish to do so.
We have a Prayer Place in the sanctuary for you to share prayer requests prior to the service. These requests will also be used to create a church prayer list distributed each week.
Have you been a visitor to Sunday worship? We enjoy having you here among us! We know we have visitors from a variety of backgrounds and hope you’ll consider becoming a member. In the meantime, we hope to continue seeing and getting to know you. Please consider joining us for any of our activities. If you leave us your email address in the Friendship Folder (located in each pew) we can send you the monthly newsletter and weekly activities. Otherwise, there is a monthly calendar of activities near the water fountain. Please contact Debby Palmer (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have questions or would like more information.
FPC’s Breeze Account: As you may know, our church directory is available online through Breeze. It’s a free, convenient way to access the church directory, send emails to members, and view/edit your contact information. If you haven’t registered, email Johnetta (FPCMorgantown@gmail.com) or Kim (PresbyMorgantown@gmail.com) and they will send a welcome email for you to set up a new account.
