Session Update - November 2021
A Message from the Session Regarding Returning to In-Person Worship on November 28
Greetings Members and Friends of First Presbyterian Church -
At our November 21 meeting of Session, we updated our policy regarding in-person worship.
The Session updated our policy that will determine our options for in-person or online worship based on our daily infection rates. Our options will be determined by our county's color code at the end of each week.
Using the WV DHHR County Alert System (found HERE: https://dhhr.wv.gov/COVID-19/Pages/default.aspx), our options for gatherings are as follows:
If Monongalia County is:
RED - No in person worship is allowed in the sanctuary. Outdoor Worship may be considered by Session as an option.
ORANGE - In-person worship in the sanctuary is permitted, provided the following of proper CDC guidelines.
YELLOW/BROWN - In-person worship in the sanctuary is permitted, provided the following of proper CDC guidelines.
We will continue to exercise caution when we gather in-person, and will require persons to wear masks during worship, practice social distancing, etc. We also encourage our members to take advantage of our online worship option if they are not comfortable attending in-person worship services.
