A Message from the Session Regarding Coronavirus

At our regular meeting on September 20, 2020, the Session of First Presbyterian Church unanimously voted to suspend in-person worship through November 29 due to the threat of COVID-19. and continued community spread.

The Session also adopted a plan to begin working towards providing an in-person for worship on Christmas Eve, December 24, which will be held outdoors. This option will be considered only if the community cases are trending in the right direction and general infection rates are deemed to be relatively safe. The Session will continue to monitor the situation in our county and make determinations about the viability of this in-person option for Christmas Eve.

We now have a Health Preparedness Team working to implement best practices towards this goal. Please continue to monitor the church for updates regarding in-person worship options as Christmas Eve approaches.

Other church programming and staffing will continue to operate as it has over the past several months.

We thanks you for your understanding and patience as we try to be good stewards of community health during this. challenging season of ministry.
